didnt had time to do 1 ytd

Yesterday was certainly a refreshing rest after one very busy week of school. My parents and my sister had to go off to Tanjong Katong Girls' School for my sister's Meet-The-Parents' session at her school. I wasn't allowed to come along since only parents were allowed so I made the best of my time at home to catch up on the many hours of sleep i missed during the past week.

I was only woken up by the phonecall from my dad. I had totally forgotten that we were supposed to go to my grandmother' s house that day! My dad called to tell me that the session had finished and that they were on the way to my grandmother' s house. I checked the watch. It was already 12p.m! I hurriedly took a bath, changed and left the house.

My family makes it a necessity to visit my grandmother at least once per month. It would be just be an ordinary visit to check on how she was doing. After staying there for about 5 hours we went back home.

now for my post abt todae

I woke up today rather early as I had religious class at the Al-Ansar mosque. My class had students from 13 to 15 years old but those who were not 14 were those who had joined the class late or who had to stay back due to failing their previous year's exams. I had just been promoted to the secondary class this year and I was one of the students who had studied the longest there.

We started of with some practice reading our holy book, the Al-Quran, before other periods for other subjects. After a few minutes I started noticing something. Why were we studying things that we already know? I mean some of the things that were being thought to us now had been learnt during Primary 3 even. I asked my religious teacher about it and she explained that this year' s exams would be testing us on all of our previous years' topics. Moreover some of my classmates had completely forgotten the topics.

Our final period was dedicated to learning the Arabic language. I had started learning this subject since Primary 3 but I just can't seem to grasp it fully yet. During the lesson my teacher was having a conversation with me and was asking me about my life in secondary school. She said she had heard that rather a lot of accidents had happened at Victoria as she had been told by her other students. I told her about the most recent one. It was really a very sad thing since it happened to a fellow classmate. She sends along her good wishes to him and hopes he recovers soon.
